Aldi has confirmed it's introducing a ban which will affect all stores in the UK.
The popular budget-friendly supermarket chain, famed for its extensive array of household essentials, decor and DIY supplies, food and more, will be changing how it sells a favoured product. The retailer will be removing plastic shrink wrap from multipacks of its Corale baked beans.
The move comes as part of further efforts to reduce excess plastic waste. Once implemented, it will save 78 tonnes of single-use plastic from going to landfill each year, while still offering shoppers a multipack discount when they buy four tins, reports MEN.
