Aldi shoppers can't wait to get their hands on a retro £1.59 Special Buy that is taking them back to their childhood. The £1.59 snack first became popular in the 1930s, and was consequently a household staple in the decades that followed.
Roses Lime Marmalade was particularly popular with the older generations, and Aldi shoppers recall being given it at their grans' houses at teatime. As the marmalade became less popular, it gradually phased out from supermarket shelves.
However, Aldi is now stocking the Roses Lime and Lemon and Lime Marmalade jars as a £1.59 Special Buy. It was shared on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook page, where it received a glowing reception from shoppers.
