With the cost of living crisis still affecting many households, the thought of spending a fortune on new beauty products can feel like a luxury we can't afford.
Which is why Aldi shoppers have been raving over an affordable foundation that not only gives them glowing skin, but is a 'dupe' for a designer version that's nearly £40 more expensive.
The budget supermarket chain's in-house beauty brand Lacura has become a regular go-to for many beauty enthusiasts who are looking to pick up some designer quality cosmetics for less.
And the latest viral product among fans is the Lacura Illuminating Foundation that shoppers are comparing to Giorgio Armani's award-winning Luminous Silk foundation known for its lightweight and silky feel.
The supermarket's foundation went viral in the beauty community after one shopper took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group to "highly recommend" the product after she purchased it in the Cashmere Glow shade.
Priced just £5.99, Aldi's beauty 'dupe' is a whopping 87% cheaper than the upmarket brands beauty product which would set shoppers back £44.50 for just one bottle.
Aldi's foundation, which comes available in a variety of shades for different skin tones, is said to have a light, creamy consistency that will add a luminous glow to the skin.
The original shopper said: "I bought this foundation for 5.99 from Aldi yesterday, my usual is Mac studio fix, I can honestly say it’s lovely! I’m sure it’s probably a dupe of something although I’m not sure what? It’s got really good coverage and definitely gave my skin a nice glow, I highly recommend this one."
Hundreds of beauty fans flocked to the comments section to, not only compare it to Giorgio Armani's bestselling foundation, but to also rave about how much they "loved it."
"It’s a dupe of Armani I bought this yesterday and I absolutely love it", raved one shopper.
"I thinks it’s meant to be a dupe of the Armani foundation, I’ll have to get myself to Aldi", commented a second.
"Immediately heading to Aldi", raved a third.
"I bought shade 2.. it’s amazing. I’ve used a lot of expensive foundations and this is the best. It dries down so feels like nothing on your skin. Great coverage too", praised a fourth.
Aldi's £5.99 Lacura Illuminating Foundation is not available online and may be available stores. As stocks can vary, we advise checking with your local store for availability.
