With winter now almost set to kick in, people are starting to close their windows and instead opt to cosying up on the sofa to stay warm.
And whilst it is a choice for many to grab the nearest blanket rather than stick the heating on, for many its their only option.
The sad choice comes as the cost of living crisis has seen energy bills for millions across the UK soar meaning some households are being forced to cut back.

Because of this, people are taking to social media to share how they are saving money with one Aldi shopper sharing a handy £40 item.
Taking to Facebook's private group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, the shopper snapped a picture of a heated airer. "Bought this today from Aldi UK, £39.99 - put our washing on it once we were home and it was set up.
"Took three hours to dry in the bag that comes with it to place over and after checking our electricity it only used 18p, bargain. Oh, and a three-year warranty."
Taking to the comment section many people said that they had also bought a similar item in a bid to save money.
One said: "I have one that cost £12.99. No electricity, just place in room let stuff air dry I dry bedding, clothes - the lot. Not a penny spent."
Another added: " This is a bargain."
"I have seen these. This one [pictured] is not only good price but a good size" wrote a third.
