Budget supermarket Aldi has shoppers obsessed with its latest SpecialBuy item, which customers say is “excellent” and “versatile”.
Aldi’s SpecialBuys often prove popular with shoppers, many of whom await Thursdays and Sundays to see what they’ll be able to get their hands on. Recently, SpecialBuy products have included everything from hanging egg chairs to hot tubs - but this time, it's the retailer’s Ambiano 2 In 1 Coffee Pod Machine that shoppers are loving.
The coffee machine features a 15 bar pressure pump, seven different brewing levels between 50-260ml, a removable drip tray for easy clearing and a 0.8L water tank. The Specialbuy is compatible with Nespresso and Dolce Gusto capsules and is priced at £79.99.

The coffee machine has racked up more than 80 five star reviews on the Aldi website. One reviewer said: “Easy to use. Very happy with my coffee machine, a fraction of the cost of my old machine and I like the fact I can use different pods. Easy to use, coffee is nice and hot, perfect!”
A second wrote:”Excellent machine. Lovely little machine. Doesn’t take up much room. Like the fact it takes two sorts of coffee pods. It works well with both and is so easy to use.” A third added: “Coffee machine. Very good machine. Better than the Nespresso machine I have been using. Lovely hot coffee. Even the taste seems better.
“Very easy to use and easy to clean. No mess at all. Since I bought this machine I have bought two more (for family). I would highly recommend. Price is really good too”.
A fourth shopper said: “Great coffee machine. I love this machine. So much so I bought two more one for my daughter and one for my son. It is easy to use. Very easy to clean and being able to use two different types of coffee pods is a great advantage.
“The coffee is lovely and hot and compared to other models the price of this machine is really good. I would highly recommend this machine.” Another added: “Versatile machine. Had a few weeks now - it’s great because it uses both nespresso and dolce gusto coffee pods - Aldi do compatible pods.
“Also can vary the strength of each drink. It suits us all in this house as we all like coffee but some like short and strong whilst others prefer long and weaker.”
