Budget supermarket Aldi has shoppers obsessed with its latest SpecialBuy item, which customers say “looks far more expensive” than it is.
Aldi’s SpecialBuys often prove popular with shoppers, many of whom anxiously await Thursdays and Sundays to see what they’ll be able to get their hands on. Recently, SpecialBuy products have included everything from hanging egg chairs to hot tubs - but this time, it's the retailer’s Black Wooden Tripod Table Lamp that’s catching shoppers’ attention.
The lamp features a modern, stylish design. According to the product description, the “luxurious and bright” table lamp comes with an on/off switch on the cable, a white shade and a bulb. The tripod lamp is priced at £22.99.

The popular lamp has racked up a number of five star reviews on the Aldi website. One reviewer said: “Fabulous item… looks expensive, brings some class to your living area … subtle lighting … affordable price.”
A second wrote: “Beautiful lamp. Very modern looking. Looks lovely” and a third added: “Wish I'd bought sooner. Stunning lamp at a great price! We also bought the floor standing one to match and love them both. They finish our living room perfectly without the insanely costly price tag. Easy to put together and both compatible with our smart bulbs.”
A fourth shopper said: “Gorgeous lamp. Light weight. Good quality for the price. Came with lightbulb which is a bonus” and a fifth wrote: “Excellent quality and looks far more expensive than it was”.
A sixth added: “Just what I wanted! Looks amazing. Looks more expensive than it actually was.” Another said: “Absolutely gorgeous lamp. It looks so expensive! Gorgeous lamp and it looks really expensive. The quality is great too. Wish I had the floor lamp too now”.
