Supermarket giant Aldi has impressed shoppers with a £30 Homeware Special Buy that looks just like a £300 designer version. The budget £30 cookware has gone down a storm with shoppers, and it's saving people hundreds of pounds on the price tag of a major brand that looks VERY similar.
Aldi is selling iron casserole dishes for £29.99. If you've not guessed it already, shoppers have compared them with cult cookware brand Le Creuset.
The same style and size of Le Creuset casserole dish currently costs £300 at John Lewis. That's a whopping difference of £270.

The casserole dishes, which are available in pearl or sage, feature tough enamel coating and a non-stick finish. They are suitable for all hobs including induction and are oven safe up to 250°C. The dishes are priced at £29.99.
The popular Specialbuy has racked hundreds of five-star reviews on the Aldi website, with a number of reviewers comparing the casserole dishes to premium French cookware manufacturer Le Creuset.
One Aldi reviewer said: “Heavy Cast Iron Casserole Dish. A good solid (heavy) pot, ideal for large casseroles on a long slow cook. Large capacity to enable batch cooking. Le Creuset style at a fraction of the cost.”
A second wrote: “Great pot. Good quality casserole pot, value for money compared to others available on the market. Strong, sturdy, good L capacity and looks nice!” A third added: “Excellent value. Great quality and value for money. It’s just as good as more expensive brands. Highly recommended.”

Works very well too, very pleased with this purchase.” Another added: “Great kitchen accessory. Fantastic value for money & just as good as the expensive makes out there. Great weight and size & I love the colour . Definitely recommend this product.”
