Aldi's raved about heated airer makes a return - but there's only one way to grab one

Aldi's previously sold-out heated airer is back on shelves across the UK, but shoppers hopeful of snapping up the 'must-have' appliance should act quickly to avoid disappointment.

While a cost of living crisis batters the wallets and purses of residents across the nation, heated airers have become increasingly popular due to their money-saving capabilities.

As electricity bills rise, so does the cost of switching on an already expensive tumble drier - with heated airers becoming a far cheaper option.

My London reports that many retailers have bought out their own versions of the airers, with Lakeland - who introduced the first heated airers to the UK and sell their models starting at £129.99 - considered the premium.

Robert Dyas, Argos and Dunelm sell cheaper versions, but the Aldi Easy Home 230W Heated Airer costs just £39.99 making it the best value on the market. It sells out immediately when it appears for sale online at regular intervals, most recently late last year, but for now Aldi shoppers able to get in store should be able to snap one up.

The popular product, which costs from just 7p an hour to run based on current energy prices of £0.34 per kWh compared to 30p for a tumble drier, has been delivered into stores nationwide this week but with demand high they won't be available for long.

Aldi was today named the UK's cheapest supermarket for 2022 by Which? but shoppers are famously as interested in their dupes of pricier products that make their basketful of groceries the best value of all competing retailers.

As well as the heated airer, shoppers have snapped up dupes of Creed that are £250 cheaper than the premium fragrance brand - as well as £4.99 gadgets that save £60 a year on energy, £15 Ugg dupes, cheap halogen ovens and even beauty products like a £3 face mask, similar to a £36 Sand and Sky version.
