Dozens of Aldi's famous plush toy, Kevin the Carrot, are being sold on eBay for a huge mark-up. Aldi release the popular Christmas toys every year alongside their Christmas ad - prompting around 70,000 people to join an online queue with hopes of bagging the Christmas plushie.
This year's ad took inspiration from the Home Alone films and saw Kevin the Carrot stuck in a house after missing a family holiday. The toys have proved so in demand that they are selling for up to SIX TIMES the retail price.
Those who missed out have had to turn to the secondary market to get their hands on the toys. The Kevin & Animals Friends set has a retail price of £11.95 and was selling on eBay for as high as £69.99.
The Plush Christmas Footballer Set retails at the slightly higher price of £15.95 and was also sold for £69.99. Perhaps the most popular of the lot, Kevin the Carrot in a kilt, which was available for £3.99, is selling for £10.99 - with one punter shifting 28 of the sought-after toys, with only two left in stock.
Other listings of Kevin and his plushie pals have fetched prices of £27, with a handful of listings hovering between the £25-£30 mark.
