Aldi has one of the cheapest whiskies which has been named amongst the best in the world. The budget-friendly supermarket has come out on top for their whiskey brand ahead of World Whiskey Day (May 21).
Two whiskies from Aldi’s Glen Marnoch range have been awarded gold medals at the world-renowned International Spirits Challenge 2022. The Glen Marnoch Highland Single Malt Whisky and the Glen Marnoch Islay Single Malt Whisky both cost less than £17, significantly less than its rivals.
The whiskies beat competitors costing up to four times as much, such as Peat Chimney Wemyss Malts (£37.95)and Glenmorangie A Tale of Winter Scotch Whisky (£74.95). The whiskies are both available for £16.99 (70cl) online and instore.
