Budget supermarket Aldi has confirmed that it's much-loved school uniform bundle will be coming back to stores soon. It said the set would be available in stores from July 6 - before the summer holidays even begin.
The retailer has also said that the price will be frozen at the same as last year - £5. The bundle includes two polo shirts, one sweatshirt and a choice of trousers or pleated skirt.
A six-month satisfaction guarantee is included. Aldi said its uniform, which is available in a variety of colours and in size four to 12 years, is designed to withstand the rigours of the school day, reports the Liverpool ECHO. Prices include the sweatshirt at £1.50, shirts at £1.75 and trousers or skirt for £1.75.
Julie Ashfield, managing director of buying at Aldi UK, said: “The back to school period can be an expensive time for families, and now more than ever shoppers are searching for great value with every purchase. At Aldi, we believe that every child deserves to have access to great quality, comfortable school uniforms, without their parents needing to spend a fortune.
“We remain committed to our customers and strive to support them throughout the cost of living crisis and beyond – that’s why we’ve made the decision to freeze our school uniform prices and continue to offer parents the same great savings as last year.”
Aldi has said that if customers can provide proof of a lower price for the items in Asda, Lidl, Morrisons, Sainsbury's and Tesco, they will match that price in store.
