Aldi releases Easter door decoration but some think it's 'the stuff of nightmares'

Aldi has released a new door decoration in preparation for Easter, and shoppers have had a very polarised reaction to the rabbit-themed product.

The budget giant sells Easter Wonders Door Decoration, which are self-adhesive craft kits intended to be stuck onto doors.

Featuring googly eyes, foam shapes, and card whiskers, the decoration is intended to look like the Easter bunny.

The product description on Aldi's website states: "Everything you need to setup the most eggtastic easter party ever. The Easter Wonders Door Decoration will bring colour and joy to your Easter party décor."

One shopper who picked up the item, and was happy with their purchase, shared a photo of their door on Facebook.

Writing in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, they said: "Bought this yesterday from Aldi £1.99, I had one last year and they are brilliant very sticky. I put mine in my front door. Happy Easter guys."

The post quickly amassed nearly 900 likes and almost 1,000 comments — and Facebook users had a range of responses to the Easter decoration.

Some were fond of the bunny kit, with one stating: "Really cute".

"I want one of these," a second shared.

A third agreed: "I love it, defo need one".

Another said: "Cute I want one."

Others weren't a fan however, with some members of the group finding the door decoration frightening.

A second commented: "That’s the stuff of nightmares that".

"Stuff of nightmares," echoed a third.

"We need this," one person wrote after tagging another user, to which they responded: "No we absolutely do not".

"That’s terrifying," another simply said.
