Growing up, the most exciting part about Christmas is the presents and that feeling of magic. As an adult - it’s about two things: family and festive food and drink offerings.
To get things in the festive spirit, Aldi are kicking things off early by adding two new flavours to their popular Ballycastle range - an irish cream liqueur that rivals the likes of Bailey’s. And the retailer says one of them ‘tastes exactly like Quality Street favourite’ The Purple One.
The new Ballycastle Chocolate, Caramel and Hazelnut Cream is said to be just like the popular Christmas choccy, tasting of toasted nuts and smooth chocolate and caramel flavours.

Hotdealsuk shared the news with their community of bargain hunters, and the reaction was overwhelming - racking up more than 2,000 comments from shoppers.
Stacey Cross joked: “I know what will be on my list for my next shop, who needs food right?”
Laura Jane Watson added: “Christmas tipple anyone? The chocolate, Caramel & hazelnut one sounds lush.”
Also new to this year’s line-up; Aldi’s Ballycastle Espresso Martini Cream will be a hit with coffee lovers. What’s more, at just £7.49, it’s a whopping 67 per cent cheaper than similar offerings from Hotel Chocolat.
Returning for the festive season is the multi award-winning Ballycastle Chocolate & Clementine Cream - an Aldi shopper fave, with online reviews averaging 4.8* stars out of five. A boozy twist on the nation’s favourite stocking filler, Terry’s Chocolate Orange, it combines two iconic flavours to create a naughty but nice tipple that is sure to sweeten up guests this Christmas.
White chocolate will also be making a return, much to the delight of customers. Clearly a fan, Amy Hart wrote: “The worst thing that ever happened to me was them releasing that white chocolate one [laughing emoji]”, to which another shopper replied “nice in a hot chocolate though, lol!”
All Ballycastle Cream flavours are priced at £7.49 per 70cl and are available in Aldi’s stores now.
