Aldi has announced details of its new cost of living budgeting hub to assist struggling customers.
The 'Amazing Savings' webpage now offers customers advice on budgeting, as well as cheap recipes and money-saving Specials Buys. The website will also promote Aldi's latest grocery offers to alleviate cost of living concerns.
The new advice was prompted by an Aldi survey conducted in January. The findings indicated that 77 per cent of customers faced financial pressures due to escalating costs.
Aldi Ireland's Group Buying Director John Curtin said: "The aim of this new hub is to provide customers with tips and information to keep costs low, as well as inspiration for ways to make budgets stretch further. We know that the times ahead will be challenging, but we’re here to help people always find the lowest prices when they shop with us.”
The supermarket also made history through its recent partnership with food surplus app Too Good to Go. Aldi is the first Irish supermarket to get involved with the initiative, which provides people with leftover food items.
Customers will have the opportunity to pick up food in ‘Surprise Bags’ at a low cost of €3.99 while in store. The measure combines affordability with a crack-down on food waste.
