The party is over and if you’re looking to reduce your alcohol intake this January, or fancy giving non-alcoholic drinks a go instead - then look no further than Aldi.
The much-loved bargain supermarket has just launched a new, alcohol-free version of its award-winning Haysmith’s Raspberry and Redcurrant Gin - so fans of the popular alcoholic beverage and still enjoy the tipple, just without the sore head.
Aldi describe the 0% spirit as ‘perfectly balanced with sweet, fruity notes and a lasting citrus burst. This raspberry and redcurrant gin alternative is best served with a premium tonic, ice and a handful of raspberries.’ Sounds pretty refreshing if you ask us - and perfect for the spring and summer months too!
Plus, to sweeten up Dry January even more, shoppers could save more than 40% compared to a competitor Gordon’s - as this bottle is a bargain price of £8.99 compared to £16 from the branded version.
This new launch for January is also joined by Aldi’s line-up of no and low alcohol alternatives this year - including the popular Zerozecco (£2.79 for 75cl).
Described as a ‘complete steal’ by Good Housekeeping Institute, the alcohol-free bubbly was awarded ‘Best Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Wine’ in a 2022 taste test of alcohol-free wines!
Known for its ‘well-balanced opening acidity’, complex, citrussy flavour and ‘perfect’ bubbles, this fizzy treat will add a touch of sparkle to get Brits through the January blues!
And that’s not all! Beer fans can also approach Dry January with ease, with Aldi’s range of 0% beers.
The supermarket’s Premium Pilsner 0% Alcohol Free (£2.49 for six 330ml bottles) offers a slightly bitter and predominant grain taste, and its Sainte Etienne 0% Premium Lager Beer (89p for 500ml bottle) is a refreshing no alcohol lager with a light fruity pear flavour.
But the non-alcoholic surprises don’t stop there as sweet-toothed revellers can indulge their cravings guilt free with Aldi’s Alska Ciders 0.5% (99p for 500ml bottle); available in Strawberry & Lime and Nordic Berries.
These bottles are only available in Aldi stores, and sadly not online! But fear not as we’ve found plenty of other non-alcoholic and low alcoholic spirits, bubbles, beers and more right here!
So what are you waiting for? Whether you want to try something new, take part in Dry January like 130,000 others did last year - now’s the perfect time!
