Budget supermarket Aldi has issued an update to any customers looking to get in their shopping for the upcoming Jubilee bank holiday weekend.
The extended bank holiday weekend has been introduced for the Platinum Jubilee event, which is a celebration to mark The Queen 's 70th year as British Monarch.
The four day weekend is set to begin on Thursday, June 2, meaning there is not much time left to sort out your food for any celebrations and garden parties you have planned.
Luckily, the supermarket has announced it will be operating as normal during the long weekend and will be offering shoppers pre-booked collection slots.
Hull Live reports that Aldi shoppers can order from a full range of groceries online at groceries.aldi.co.uk then collect them in pre-booked one-hour collection slots from their local store.
The supermarket currently operates a click and collect service in around 200 stores across the UK. However, the service is fairly limited in Scotland, with only a few stores offering the service.
Aldi extended their click and collect service to the Basin View Store in Montrose, before further rolling out to the Whitburn store after a successful trial.
Slots can be booked six days in advance and orders for the Bank Holiday can be edited up until 11:50pm the day before collection. On arrival at dedicated Click & Collect points in the store car park, customers can have their shopping brought to their cars or choose to have their shopping put into their boot by an Aldi colleague so they can collect their shopping without leaving their car.
To book a Click & Collect slot, visit via groceries.aldi.co.uk. Stores will also be open from 8am-10pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday over the Bank Holiday weekend.
