Aldi customers have bashed the store as it announced Jubilee opening times.
Shoppers complained as the supermarket confirmed that it would be "open" during the bank holiday. Taking to social media, Aldi posted: "We're open for the Jubilee Celebration! Make sure you head down to get all your essentials for the weekend!"
The retailer attached an image which read: "Opening hours - our normal opening hours will remain in place this bank holiday weekend." But, customers were not happy with the update as they expected the retailer to give staff time off to enjoy the celebrations.

Shoppers angrily commented on the post - and they didn't hold back. Julie said: "Not impressed with this @AldiUK. Your staff all deserve a chance to celebrate this very special and unique #PlatinumJubilee."
Eleanor said: "Shame for the staff… not even bank holiday hours. Shame on you… hope it’s double time and a day in lieu." Tracey said: "How lovely would it be for people to get organised and do their food shop on the Wednesday so shops could close for 2 days so staff could join in with the celebrations."
Meanwhile, Tesco and ASDA have both altered their opening hours to close at 8pm instead of 12am on Bank Holiday Thursday and Friday to allow staff to celebrate the Jubilee. Lidl and Sainsbury's stores will be closing at 8pm instead of 10pm on Bank Holiday Thursday and Friday. Morrisons stores will be closing at 10pm as usual.
It comes as a four-day bank holiday weekend will take place to celebrate Her Majesty's 70 years on the throne. The May bank holiday weekend has been moved to Thursday, June 2, with an additional bank holiday on Friday, June 3. This will mean many people have a four-day weekend to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
