It is certainly beginning to feel a lot like Christmas as this year's festive adverts continue to be released.
And now Aldi have revealed their 2022 ad inspired by an iconic Christmas movie. The supermarket giant unveiled a teaser earlier this month showing Kevin the carrot stuck as the airport while his family set off to Paris for the festive season. His family - Katie, Baby, Jasper and Chantenay - then launch a bid to 'find Kevin'. Sound familiar?
The new ad begins where the teaser left off, showing Katie and her family rushing through the airport to catch their flight to the French capital. However, one of the little ones halts to ask their mum if they can donate their pocket money to giving platform.

After making the flight and buckling up for take-off, Katie suddenly realised someone is missing. As the voiceover shares " Christmas in Paris, a family vacation. But wasn't someone missing from this festive celebration?", Kevin's absence dawns on the mother, reports The Mirror.
Meanwhile, Kevin is home alone in his huge family home as he sits back and relaxed to watch the football on his phone. Eagle eyed viewers might notice the game is between Cuth and Col as the supermarket subtly gives a nod to the 'feud' with Marks and Spencer over their Cuthbert and Colin the Caterpillar cakes respectively. The teams are even kitted out in the supermarket brand colours.
But things get a little nervy when an unknown intruder is spotted. Kevin is relaxing in him warm wooly jumper when we notices the intruder. "Quaking in his roots, he had to make a stand. And tackle the intruder, with traps he'd carefully planned," the narrator continues.
The wee one then gets to work, swinging down to the hallway on some Christmas lights as he slams the letterbox shut with his feet. He then drops a water balloon right on the head of the intruder. "Then all of a sudden, he had a bright idea, which almost dashed his hopes of seeing in New Year," the voiceover added as Kevin managed to electrocute himself on some lights.
As Kevin makes his way up the stairs, he used a string to dash out of the house, expecting to catapult himself to become the nose of a snowman - but he ended up managing to fall in a very different place.
But it turns out the intruder is a familiar face after all as Kevin looks on confused.
"Santa, thank goodness you're here," he said excitedly as his family soon ran up to him, screeching in excitement as they all ran up to him. The voiceover concluded: "But even though Kevin was a little worse for wear, he was overjoyed to have everybody there!"
