Aldi announces extended Christmas week times and days stores are closing

Aldi is extending their opening hours in the lead up to Christmas to give shoppers more time to get their festive shopping done.

From Christmas week on Monday, December 19 until Friday, December 23, stores across Ireland will be open from 8am until 11pm. On Christmas Eve, Aldi stores will be open until 7pm, although customers should check their local store details online to avoid disappointment.

Aldi will close its stores as usual on Christmas Day and they will also keep their stores shut on St Stephen’s Day as a thank you to staff. They have done this every year since opening in Ireland over 20 years ago.

Most Aldi stores will stay open from 9am until 9pm in between Christmas and New Year, and until 7pm on New Year’s Eve. This will help shoppers grab all the food, drink and gifts they need to ring in the New Year.

Aldi will be closed on New Year's Day, 1 January and they will reopen as normal on Monday, 2 January.
