With the cost of bills rising, 2022 has been the year of the air fryer, with shoppers snapping up the energy-saving gadget in their thousands.

However, after Aldi's website was inundated in early November when a high capacity Ambiano air fryer went on sale, for this week's launch the retailer restricted the number of devices that shoppers could pre-order online to two per person. Despite the restrictions and online queueing system, the latest air fryer sold out soon after it launched on the site.

Its usual RRP is £189, while Currys has reduced it by £20 on its own website as part of Black Friday deals.
