NEW DELHI: Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz and Italian rival Jannik Sinner are on a collision course for a semi-final showdown after both breezed into the last eight in the ATP-WTA Indian Wells Masters on Tuesday.
Alcaraz avenged his previous loss to Hungary's Fabian Marozsan with a commanding 6-3, 6-3 victory, while Sinner continued his hot streak with a 7-6 (7/4), 6-1 win over Ben Shelton. Sinner's victory marked his 18th consecutive win, putting him in contention for his third title of the season after triumphs at the Australian Open and Rotterdam.
