Albion Rovers boss Brian Reid has signed three fresh faces this past week and is eyeing at least four more for their League Two campaign.
The Cliftonhill club have brought in attacking midfielder Michael Paton from Brechin City, as well as Kyle Fleming and Aytron Sonkur from League Two rivals Annan Athletic and Stranraer.
But as the side return for pre-season training this week, Reid isn’t stopping there.
He said: “It’s important to get experience into the squad, because we lost one or two, and it’s important to get some experience in like Michael has.
“Kyle is still young but is a good, experienced player, he’s been about our leagues for a couple of seasons now. He started up at Dundee, so he’s got a good background, pedigree and size, and he has a point to prove, so we’re fortunate to get him in.
“We have quite a young squad, it has been like that for the last couple of seasons, so it’s always good to try and get the balance a wee bit better.
“I’m working constantly and we’re going to need at least another four or five.
"We need to get another goalkeeper in and we need another defender, because we’ve lost four from the squad last season in Aron Lynas, James McGowan, Alfie Robinson and Lewis Wilson, and we’ve not replaced them.”
