Albion Rovers star Callum Wilson hopes their scoring spree in extra-time to sink Glasgow University in the Scottish Cup will rub off in League Two.
The Cliftonhill side ended up firing four goals past the students in Saturday's second round tie, having seen Wilson's 20th minute opener cancelled out by Uni' Cameron Murray over the 90 minutes.
However, a Charlie Reilly penalty, an Amaury Testa effort and a Tom Reid own goal ensured a comfortable away win in the end at Airdrie's New Broomfield ground.
In recent weeks Rovers have struggled to take their chances and that has left them bottom of League Two, but ahead of the visit of Stenhousemuir on Saturday, Wilson hopes this can be the turning point for Rovers.
The 23-year-old midfielder said: "We have been a little bit up and down this season and we feel we should have a few more points than we've got.
"But winning games always gives you confidence so if we can keep winning in the cups, hopefully we take that into the league campaign.
"We have been creating chances and not talking them, but as long as you are in those areas, at some point the goals will come.
"So hopefully four goals in this game, that can be the turning point for us.
"Stenhousemuir is another big game. Every game in League Two is, especially when you are down the bottom, but if you win two or three games on the bounce you can get right back in the mix.
"We just need to focus on that and stay positive."
Wilson had other chances himself to put the game with Glasgow out of sight but praised the West of Scotland League Second Division side for their defensive display.
He added: "I thought they were really well organised. We had a number of really good chances but their goalkeeper pulled off a number of good saves or they made some blocks on the line.
"We couldn't seem to get that goal to finish them off. They defended resolutely.
"We were disappointed not to finish it off in 90 minutes, but luckily in extra-time, once the first goal came, the next two came quickly after.
"I had two or three really good chances myself. I took one but it would have been nice to get two or three to put the game to bed.
"But as long as I am getting in those areas, hopefully more goals will come for me."
Rovers are in the hat for today's fourth round draw at Hampden, which takes place at 4pm.
Asked who he fancies in round three, Wilson said: "We just want to go and get into the next round after this one.
"Part of you wants a big team, part of you wants a team around you where you can go and get a result."
