Alan Shearer and Robbie Fowler slam Liverpool
Alan Shearer has slammed Liverpool for failing to turn up in the 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest - pointing the finger at defensive duo Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk in particular.
The Reds failed to capitalise on a momentum-gathering run of form in recent weeks, falling to a single goal from ex-Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi 10 minutes into the second-half. Gomez gave away a needless free-kick when losing possession in his own half, and when Steve Cook fired a cross from the resulting set-piece, Awoniyi stabbed home the rebound from his own shot after hitting the post.

IAN DOYLE: Jurgen Klopp knows exactly what's wrong with Liverpool change as injury questions asked
Such a lacklustre performance proved a far cry from last Sunday's 1-0 win at home to Manchester City, with Jurgen Klopp's side sloppy in possession and lacking the cutting edge to create consistent danger - the few chances created form set-plays were duly squandered by Van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.
And speaking after the final whistle, Shearer hinted at a level of complacency in the team in thinking they could just turn up and win.

Jurgen Klopp fumes at Joe Gomez
Liverpool's rollercoaster season travelled another significant downslope with dreadful defeat at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Former Anfield striker Taiwo Awoniyi scored the only goal as the Reds lost 1-0 to the Premier League strugglers. The result means Jurgen Klopp’s side have, in 11 games, already lost more times in the top-flight than they did during the whole of last season.
But there was plenty that went unnoticed or under the radar during the 90 minutes at the City Ground and Ian Doyle has rounded up four moments you may have missed from the game.
