Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has accused Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho of "f****** diving" during the 0-0 draw at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag's side failed to score against Newcastle as Eddie Howe's side held on to claim a hard-fought point. It was nearly a nightmare start for United, as Raphael Varane appeared to catch Callum Wilson in the penalty box with just 15 minutes played. Referee Craig Pawson waved away the appeals for a spot-kick as VAR upheld the decision.
Sancho was then denied a penalty himself, as the former Borussia Dortmund man cleverly cut inside before taking the ball past Sean Longstaff. The Newcastle man then appeared to take the 22-year-old's feet from under him, as the United squad gathered around the referee.

Pawson once again ignored the cries as VAR also failed to intervene. Ten Hag was clearly worried about being reprimanded by the FA after the game, as he simply said: "I don’t have a comment, everyone has seen it," when asked for his thoughts on the decision.
Cristiano Ronaldo also saw his appeals for a spot-kick in the first half turned away, as the 37-year-old collided with Kieran Trippier in the box. Shearer was far less ambiguous than Ten Hag when giving his thoughts on the penalty appeals, as he took to social media to vent his frustration with what he saw as United players trying to con the officials.
Shearer tweeted: "Keep on f****** diving you might get one eventually!!!"
