Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has named Bruno Guimaraes in his Team of the Week after a stellar display against Wolverhampton Wanderers last week. The Magpies picked up an important three points to maintain a ten point gap to the bottom three.
The Brazilian has been made to bide his time before starting a game at St. James' Park, a feat that he was finally rewarded with last week. The Magpies faithful know there's plenty more to come from their January signing, but have been impressed by what they've seen so far.
The 24-year-old has shown instances of real quality since signing on the dotted line, with his start against Wolves the first real glimpse fans have had to see him in action. Arsenal and Juventus were both reportedly interested in the midfielder prior to signing for Newcastle and it's clear to see why.
