Alan Shearer has hailed Alexander Isak's outrageous run for Newcastle United's fourth goal in the 4-1 win over Everton at Goodison Park. The Magpies number nine was pleased to see his boyhood club put in a superb performance.
Eddie Howe's side ran riot in the second-half to make it 10 goals scored in just two games to strengthen their grip on the top-four. Manchester United's draw with Tottenham Hotspur means the Toon moved two points clear of the Red Devils, eight clear of Aston Villa and Spurs and nine clear of Liverpool.
The win at Goodison was far from plain sailing with the hosts making it difficult for Newcastle inside the first-half, but the Toon came through a raucous opening 20 minutes or so to find a foothold in the game. Callum Wilson scored before the break, with Joelinton scored a second midway through the second-half.

Wilson added his second of the game with a brilliant strike from the edge of the area before Dwight McNeil grabbed one back for the hosts. Isak produced a moment of magic with a brilliant solo run to tee up Murphy for Newcastle's fourth, leading to an exodus of home supporters.
Shearer tweeted: "Another great win and performance from the Toon. Superb to watch."
