Rugby Park favourite Alan Power is closing in on a return to Kilmarnock.
Boss Derek McInnes is keen to bring the Irishman back to Ayrshire following the expiry of his contract at St Mirren.
The 34-year-old is midfielder is on the verge of signing a one-year deal to rubber stamp a second stint at the club.
Power previously had a successful five year stint at Kilmarnock where he helped them back into Europe under Steve Clarke.
He only left Killie after they were relegated under Tommy Wright.
Power wanted to remain in the Premiership and moved on to St Mirren in 2021.
He is set to one a number of signings that McInnes makes as he looks to strengthen his squad for their top 12 return.
McInnes has already said he will need to beef up a number of areas across his Kilmarnock squad.
