Alan Cumming "doesn't understand" the plot to his new superhero film Avengers: Doomsday.

The 61-year-old actor has reprised his role as X-Men mutant mutant Nightcrawler in the new blockbuster, but he wasn't allowed to read the full script before filming started and many of his scenes will be based around CGI so he's been left totally baffled and is convinced he's just there to "run around".
