Alan Carr and Jonathan Ross are related - and the funnyman has revealed exactly how.
Speaking during his latest episode of his Life's A Beach podcast - with 61-year-old TV presenter Jonathan appearing as a guest - Alan, 45, explained they are both from Margate in Kent and are "distantly related".
He said on his show: "People might not know this, but your lovely late mum came up to me at your Halloween party and said, 'We are related aren't we'. Do you remember?
"I was so excited because we come from the same area, we are distantly related. I remember going over to you saying, 'Jonathan, Jonathan your mum says we're related' and you went, 'For f**k sake'."
Laughing, Jonathan added: "I tried to stop her talking to people because she'd always find some famous connection."
Alan then told him: "It's quite a strong link."
A surprised Jonathan then asked: "Is it really? I don't know if I want to involved with you."
Alan gasped: "What! F**k you."
Jonathan continued: "I saw your episode of Who Do You Think You Are? and you've got a deserter in your family. I don't know if I want to be tarnished by that."
He continued: "We are related - I forget that."
"But we don't look alike, do we?" Alan quizzed.
Jonathan said: "Well, neither of us have got looks, let's be honest. But you scrub up very well, you just don't do it often!"
Alan laughed as Jonathan continued: "You do! I've seen you look very handsome."
Flattered by his compliment, Alan thanked him before Jonathan added: "You do, you've got a handsome face."
Alan joked: "You're full of s**t!"
In recent days, it was revealed newly single Alan is heading Stateside in a bid to crack America.
Alan gained notoriety in the US with his appearances on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and its current UK vs the World series – and with his popularity growing, he has scheduled a few intimate gigs to test the waters.
It comes after he split from his husband of three years Paul Drayton following 13 years together.
The comic, whose close friend Adele lives in LA, is in the middle of his Regional Trinket tour, and explains: “I’ve done a bit of Europe, I’m going back to Australia and New Zealand – I love it – and I’ve done Canada.
“And, this is an exclusive, I’m going to do some very tiny, tiny dates in America. I’m scared. Should I be scared?”
