New Aberdeen chief executive Alan Burrows believes the announcement of the club's next manager is likely to come "sooner rather than later".
The former Motherwell supremo is settling into life in the Granite City and is leading the search for the club's permanent successor to Jim Goodwin with chairman Dave Cormack recovering from heart surgery. And Burrows believes the club are close to settling on a shortlist as they aim to find the right person to lead Aberdeen moving forward. Interim boss Barry Robson has made his case with two wins in four games and Burrows admits it's been an extensive process in the search for the perfect candidate.
Speaking on the club's website, he said: “There has been a lot of really good work undertaken so far by (director of football) Steven Gunn and (director) Willie Garner. The process of recruiting a manager is two-fold. Firstly, people will come to you as this is a big club that a lot of managers throughout the United Kingdom and beyond will want to manage.
