Alabama’s Dallas Turner was very ready to declare for the NFL Draft after Rose Bowl loss

Alabama edge rusher Dallas Turner sounded very ready to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft after his team lost to Michigan in Monday’s Rose Bowl.

Per ESPN’s Alex Scarborough, Turner very bluntly declared for the draft by saying that he’s very much not going back to Tuscaloosa for another season.

“I’m gone. Ain’t no if, ands or buts about it,” Turner said about his future.

Whew. If that’s not a firm confirmation that Turner is very much done with playing for the Crimson Tide and ready to get his NFL career going, we’re not sure what is.

Alabama lost in brutal fashion to Michigan on a very strange sequence on fourth-and-three in overtime, which likely left a bad taste in many Crimson Tide players’ mouths.

For Turner, it’s a great excuse to say goodbye for good.

While we’re not sure if Turner is just incredibly eager to get drafted (likely higher up in the first round) or is just done with playing for Alabama, this is a very direct response that makes us kind of think it might be a mix of both.
