Alabama, Georgia heading to frantic finish

The one-sided SEC clash suddenly turned into a close game in the fourth quarter on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Trailing 30-7, Georgia rallied to outscore Alabama 27-3 in the second half to rake the lead 34-33 wth less than three minutes left.

On the first  play of the next drive, Jalen Milroe threw a 75-yard touchdown pass to 17-year-old Ryan Williams. The two-point conversion was good and 13 seconds after falling behind Alabama led again, 41-34.

Williams had six catches for 177 yards and the score after the long touchdowns.

Georgia had scored 20 points in the first 10 minutes of the final quarter to turn an Alabama romp into a tense game.

Dawgs quarterback Carson Beck overcame three turnovers to lead the comeback. He threw a 67-yard touchdown pass to Dillon Bell with 2:31 left to give Georgia the lead. A two-point conversion failed.
