Alabama men's basketball coach Nate Oats sought advice from various successful coaches, including Nick Saban, to guide his team to their first Final Four appearance. Despite a rocky start in the NCAA Tournament, the Crimson Tide have won four consecutive games, culminating in an 89-82 victory over Clemson in the West Regional final.
Oats emphasized the importance of timing and momentum in the tournament, acknowledging that the best team doesn't always win due to the single-elimination format. After a series of losses leading up to March Madness, Oats consulted with coaching veterans like Jim Boeheim and Frank Martin to strategize a turnaround.
