Al Pacino has broken his silence following the news that he is set to become a dad again.
Last week it was reported that the 83-year-old Oscar-winning actor’s 29-year-old film producer girlfriend, Noor Alfallah, was pregnant, which his publicist then confirmed.
In a new video obtained by the MailOnline, the Scarface star is seen being asked if he is “excited” about the pregnancy by a photographer while out taking a stroll with a friend.
Pacino replied: “It’s very special. It always has been. I’ve got many kids. But this is really special coming at this time.”
He added that he does not know what the baby’s gender is yet.
This will be Pacino’s fourth child. He is already father to daughter Julie Marie, 33, whom he shares with Jan Tarrant, and 22-year-old twins Anton and Olivia with actress Beverly D’Angelo.
A source told People earlier this week that Pacino is “excited” to become a father again, adding: “Al loves being a father and always has… Being a parent is and always was an important part of Al’s life.”
According to reports, the couple have been dating since the pandemic but have kept their relationship largely private. They were seen in public together for the first time in April 2022 while out for dinner together.
Pacino’s news came hot on the heels of his Heat co-star Robert De Niro announcing the birth of his seventh child at the age of 79.
The Taxi Driver actor and his partner Tiffany Chen welcomed their newborn daughter Gia Virginia Chen-De Niro, in April this year.
During a recent interview with Extra at the Tribeca Festival, De Niro was asked whether he would get together with Pacino and their “youngest kids” for playdates.
“Good question,” he replied, before adding: “Floor play.”
