After missing several games with COVID, Boston Celtics forward Al Horford will be sidelined a bit longer for a much happier reason. Horford and his wife Amelia welcomed a new baby to the world this week. Horford missed Monday night’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers to be home with his family, and will likely wait until Friday to make his return to action.
In a post on Instagram, Amelia shared photos of baby Mila Horford Vega, who was born on December 12. “Welcome my doll, daddy and mommy love you so much. Thank you my Lord for another promise fulfilled, today already in my arms.” read a caption in Spanish.
Horford is already the proud father to four young children.
As the elder statesman for the Boston Celtics, some fans even affectionately refer to the veteran big man as “Papa Al”.
Please join all of us at Celtics Wire in wishing the Horford’s a heartfelt “felicidades,” and wishing good health to the entire family.
