Just hours after ‘Drishyam 2’ hit the theatres, the Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer has leaked online on piracy sites. The film is now reportedly available for free viewing and downloading on a number of torrent sites.
A complete HD version of Drishyam 2 has leaked online and its online accessibility might reportedly hurt its box office earnings.
The film is the latest to become a target of piracy. Earlier, ‘Brahmastra’, ‘83’, ‘Pushpa’ and various Hollywood films too have been leaked online on the day of its release.
Talking about ‘Drishyam 2’, the film is an official Hindi remake of the Malayalam film of the same name. The original film stars Mohanlal in the lead role. In the Hindi version, apart from the original cast of Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran and Ishita Dutta, the makers have also roped in Akshaye Khanna for a key role.
Spilling some beans on the same, Ajay earlier told ETimes, “It was Abhishek Pathak’s idea to bring in the additional character of Akshaye Khanna. When he narrated the script to me with the addition of Akshaye, I thought it was very good. I have no idea why some changes were made to the script. I am an actor and if I am convinced that something is working for a script, I go along with it. Akshaye is a fabulous co-star and a stupendous actor. Working with him has always been worthwhile.”
