Ajay Devgn’s ‘Thank God’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Ram Setu’ are neck to neck in their advance bookings

Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar are all geared up to lock horns at the box office. Ajay’s ‘Thank God’ and Akshay’s ‘Ram Setu’ will be released on October 25.

Ahead of their release, the films opened their gates for advance bookings at the box office. According to a report in boxofficeIndia.com, their advance bookings are at par with each other so far. Although both the films sold a similar number of tickets since the bookings opened last afternoon, ‘Ram Setu’ reportedly has an edge over ‘Thank God’ with higher ticket pricing.

The edge in advances should reportedly be for ‘Ram Setu’ as that may have a larger audience at multiplexes and is at higher rates and if this lead comes it will be minimal but in places where advance does not open there could be a better response to ‘Thank God’ on the day due to the genre, the report in boxofficeIndia.com stated.

Makers of both the films have opted for Diwali releases and the festive holiday is the biggest day of the year for collections. Huge expectations are set on films having Diwali releases.

‘Thank God’ also stars Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. ‘Ram Setu’, on the other hand, also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha.
