Ajax vs Liverpool: Kick-off time, prediction, TV, live stream, team news, h2h - Champions League preview today

Liverpool take on Ajax in the Champions League tonight, looking to seal their place in the last 16.

After back-to-back victories against Rangers, Jurgen Klopp’s side have now won three Group A matches on the bounce, leaving them six points clears of Ajax heading into the penultimate game of the group stage.

While Liverpool have reason to be confident after getting the better of the Dutch side at Anfield, Joel Matip delivering a last-minute winner, another poor display last time out against Nottingham Forest brought a swift halt to the momentum they appeared to be gathering.

Ajax continue their serene progress at the top of Eredivisie but come into this after two heavy defeats to Napoli, conceding ten goals in the process.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Ajax vs Liverpool is scheduled for an 8pm BST kick-off time on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

The Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam will host the match.

Ajax vs Liverpool prediction

It’s difficult to know what to expect from Liverpool, with their performance against Forest a world away from the one a week earlier when they beat Manchester City.

Ajax will have to go for it knowing they need all three points, potentially leaving space for the visitors to exploit on the counter.

With Liverpool a long way from their best and just needing to avoid defeat, a draw could be on the cards.

Draw, 1-1.
