Rangers will be keen on banishing the pain of derby defeat this Wednesday when they begin their Champions League campaign at Ajax.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men are in Group A alongside Liverpool, Napoli and the Dutch giants as they look for more European heroics like they had last season in a memorable run to the Europa League final. Quality in opposition goes up a notch now though as they compete on the biggest club stage in European football. To achieve success, Rangers will need a big response to weekend disappointment
They lost 4-0 to bitter rivals Celtic at Parkhead and it's brought widespread criticism after falling five points behind in the Premiership title race after only six games. In Europe they have been fierce competition though for whoever they have played and knocked out Ajax's Eredivisie rivals PSV at the play-off stage to make this lucrative frontier, where the Ibrox club will now hope for more success.
