After going down to Mizoram Police in the last round of Mizoram Premier League, Aizawl FC came back with a bang on Tuesday as they handed former champions Chanmari FC a 4-0 drubbing in the fifth round at Raijv Gandhi Stadium in Aizawl.
R Ramdinthara opened the scoring in the 29th minute and R Lalthanmawia doubled it three minutes after the break. K Lalrinfela then added another in the 67th as Chanmari were left completely clueless against Aizawl's attacking prowess. To add insult to injury, Lalthanmawia, who was given the man-of-the-match award, added a fourth three minutes into the injury time as Aizawl made it four wins in five matches in the ninth edition of MPL.
