A specialist Channel Islands travel company is no longer taking any bookings.
Airways Holidays and its parent company have long been the foremost travel firm for the island chain, ferrying visitors and locals on and off for 40 years. Each year 20,000 people use the service.
Despite its popularity and longevity, Airways Holidays is ceasing operations and is not taking any more bookings.
However, packages are still being sold under the Jersey Travel and Guernsey Travel names directly to the public.
The decision comes nine months after the last of the Covid policies restricting entry to the islands - and therefore impacting the tourism industry there - were lifted.
In a statement, Airways Holidays’ parent company - the Jersey-based C.I. Travel Group - said: "Following a review of our business operations in the post-Covid recovery period, C. I. Travel Group has taken the decision to withdraw from the distribution of its Channel Islands products through UK retail travel agents and as a result will no longer market and distribute holidays under the Airways Holiday brand."
Airways Holidays stopped taking bookings at the end of October.
Those who have outstanding trips locked in with the company need not worry too much, as C.I. Travel has pledged to honour all of them.
“Any existing bookings made for travel from 1 November onwards will continue to operate as planned but no new bookings will be accepted for travel from this date," a comment on its website reads.
“All of us at Airways Holidays would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our travel agent partners and their teams for their support over the past years.”

Since all Covid restrictions were lifted, travelling to the Channel Islands from the UK has been relatively straight forward.
It is possible to fly to Jersey from numerous UK airports in around an hour, or hop aboard and travel by ferry from Poole or Portsmouth.
Because the islands are in the Common Travel Area, Brits do not need a visa to visit and shouldn't have to show their passports.
