An airline has made an announcement about a new check-in service at Manchester Airport as families jet away during the half term holidays.
Virgin Atlantic's new check-in procedure, that relaunched in Manchester today (May 31) could now see queues and wait times for passengers significantly reduced.
The airline announced the Twilight service will allow passengers to check in for their Virgin Atlantic flight and drop their bags off the night before departure, between 4pm and 8pm, to avoid the early morning check-in queues.

This means that travellers can instead go straight through to security on the day of their flight as their suitcases will already be ready to be loaded onto the plane. From Manchester, Virgin currently flies to Orlando, New York, Barbados and Atlanta.
Virgin Atlantic had previously offered the early check-ins and bag drops at Manchester before the Covid-19 pandemic and has now relaunched the service for all passengers. There are no new desks or kiosks, with the service available at the existing desks in Terminal 2.
The airline announced the check-in service was being relaunched in Manchester on Twitter writing: "Get your trip off to a flying start Manchester. We’re excited to announce the relaunch of twilight check-in, from 31 May 2023. So if you’re near @manairport we can validate your passport, tag your bag, and ensure it's loaded on your flight."
