“A 52-year-old man has been arrested in connection and inquiries are ongoing.”
One resident, who asked not to be named, told the Daily Record: “We looked out the window in the morning and there was just police everywhere.
“Forensics were also there in their white suits. That’s when we knew something really bad must have happened.
“There is a very quiet street where nothing happens. The residents are in absolute bits.”
Another added: “I opened the blinds and saw blue flashing lights.
“The street was full of police cars. Police have been here for four days.
“I saw forensic officers in the back garden using torches at night time. They’ve also been looking down the lane.
“We haven’t heard anything. The police aren’t telling the neighbours very much.”
Floral tributes have been laid out in front of the property, with candles also placed along the driveway. A police cordon remains at the home as the investigation continues.
