Airdrie have sent striker Salim Kouider-Aissa out on loan to Stranraer until January, as he continues his rehab from a serious knee injury.
The 26-year-old could line up against near-neighbours Albion Rovers at Stair Park this afternoon.
Airdrie explained the decision on their website, saying: "After a long rehabilitation following a knee ligament injury, Salim made his first start of the season in Friday's SPFL Trust Trophy match at Alloa.
"Prior to that, the 26-year-old had netted twice in seven substitute appearances this season.
"As the popular frontman looks to regain full match sharpness, he will now make the short-term loan switch to Jamie Hamill's Stranraer, where former Diamonds favourite Darryl Duffy is assistant manager."
Stranraer hailed the move on their social media, saying: "Salim is as clinical as they come; adding another striker to the Blues' strong front line options."
