Renting out an Airbnb when you're looking for somewhere to stay is usually a safe option, as you can see all the pictures on the listing beforehand, alongside the ratings, so you can be safe in the knowledge that you're going to stay somewhere clean, modern, and potentially even luxurious.
But one Airbnb guest was left shocked after he claimed that he rocked up to his play to stay, only to realise that his accommodation was a bathroom with a bed in it.
David Holtz said that when he booked the minimalist room, there were no previous reviews for it. But on arrival, he was stunned to discover his bed - where his head would be - was just inches away from the toilet.
The tiny accommodation boasts a pane of glass between the bed and the toilet, and there's also a sink at the end of the bed so you can be hygienic once you've visited the toilet.
There is also a small shower cubicle in the room, with a towel made available by the host should you wish to use it.
Mr Holtz, an assistant professor at the University of California, in Berkeley, near San Francisco, US, said he stayed in the Airbnb while visiting London.
He joked: "That feeling when you arrive at your Airbnb and realise that the whole space is essentially just a large-ish bathroom that the host put a bed into."
David contacted Airbnb who told them they were going to "take a closer look" into the issue that he raised - but David has furiously hit back and claimed he's had no answers so far.
When The Mirror approached Airbnb for comment, a spokesperson said: "Our customer service team has been in contact with this guest to provide support. We encourage guests to review all photos, as well as the description and reviews, prior to booking a stay."
He said: "I already spoke to customer support multiple times and every customer support advocate I've interacted with has had no interest in helping resolve the issue. Can I expect a different outcome this time?"
Upon seeing the tiny room, someone commented: "Airbnpee", whilst another joked: "You've got everything you need within arm's reach."
Someone else wrote that it was "Kinda nice for a solo traveller on a budget" as you could "Quickly get into the shower."
