The Air Line Pilots Association has announced that it is dispatching an accident investigation team to aid the National Transportation Safety Board in its inquiry into the recent collision. The union expressed shock and sorrow over the tragic incident at DCA and extended its sympathies to all those impacted by the event.
In a statement released, the Air Line Pilots Association stated, 'We are shocked and saddened by the tragic accident at DCA tonight. Our thoughts are with those affected by this tragedy and ALPA’s accident investigation team is responding to assist the National Transportation Safety Board in their investigation.'
