Air fryer users make plea as Martin Lewis asks for tips

Many air fryers users made the same demand after Martin Lewis asked for their best energy-saving tips on Tuesday.

With energy prices at an all-time high, the air fryer has become a UK household staple in the past few months. As people find ways to cook their food without putting their energy-guzzling ovens on, air fryers have become a go-to appliance.

Martin Lewis returned to our screens for a special episode, primarily based on providing energy saving tips to UK households amid soaring costs and warnings of potential blackouts if the National Grid runs out of energy.

Ahead of the show, he asked his many Twitter followers for their tips to use less gas and electricity, and his tweet was inundated with replies.

Among many of the helpful tips and tricks, many air fryer users got in touch to issue a plea. Mrs McKinnon said: "Lot of chat about air fryers - would be beneficial if more foods and labelling had air fryer cooking instructions not just standard oven/grill/fry".

Chris replied: "I’ve been thinking this too. Enough people use air fryers now to warrant the instructions on the foods - I could use mine much more but not confident with timings and don’t want to waste food. First company to start printing air fryer instructions will make a fortune in my opinion".

Jem said: "Iceland have really come up on this, their own brands usually have air fryer instructions on them! Others should follow suit!", while Jonathan Edwards said: "Agree!! A rough guide is to reduce time by 20% I believe".
