AN air ambulance has been dispatched following a crash which has closed a major road in Moray in both directions.
Police Scotland confirmed the A98 near Fochabers roundabout was shut after the crash was reported to officers around 8.45am on Friday.
The Scottish Ambulance Service also attended the scene of the collision, dispatching one ambulance, a trauma team and an air ambulance.
A statement from Police Scotland said: “The A98 near Fochabers roundabout is closed in both directions following a crash which was reported to police around 8.45am on Friday, October 25 2024.
“Emergency services are in attendance and drivers are advised to avoid the area where possible.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We received a call at 8.39am today to attend a road traffic collision on the A98 near Fochabers.
“We have dispatched one ambulance, our trauma team and an air ambulance to the scene.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 8.44am on Friday, 25 October, to reports of a road traffic collision involving one car on the A98 at Fochabers.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances and firefighters assisted emergency service partners at the scene.
"One casualty was transported to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service and crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
