The air ambulance was called to a Gateshead street as emergency services deal with an "ongoing" incident.
Multiple police vehicles were reportedly at the scene on Ripon Street, Bensham on the corner of Prince Consort Road at around 9am.
The air ambulance was called to the area, as well as two ambulance crews.

The ambulance service have now confirmed one patient has been transported to hospital.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police has described the incident as "ongoing" but the force has not yet released further details.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to a private address off Prince Consort Road in Gateshead at 8.51am this morning. We dispatched one ambulance crew, a crew from our Hazardous Area Response Team and requested support from Great North Air Ambulance. One patient was transported to hospital by road."
The Great North Air Ambulance has been contacted for comment.
